Dome of Order

This work begins with the imagination of a perspective beyond human perception. As footage at a mosque threshold briefly halts, the image fragments and—by brightness alone—reassembles into a hemispheric 3D structure. The imposed radial symmetry recalls the preference for order in religious architecture and ornament. Inspiration also came from tile workshops in Fez and mandala-like motifs painted on Moroccan ceramics. During this short sequence, people and narrative recede while structure and rule come forward. As the original flow resumes, viewers encounter a brief interval in which the world appears through an unfamiliar, rule-based order—as if reality were glimpsed from outside itself.
